Morgan O'Connell's 16th birthday starts with a talking Raven and it goes downhill from there. Morgan discovers that as of her 16th birthday she's been given strength, speed, premonitions the ability to command ravens and crows as well as the ability to shape-shift into a raven, a wolf (and those two are pretty cool) but also she can shift into a cow and a snake (which she doesn't even want to think about changing into a cow - utterly yuk and snakes are the one thing that terrifies her). She's the high queen in a mythical Warrior Queen Triad and she has to find the other two queens in her triad. She meets Micah Westbrook on the first day of school and they hit it off, but when it comes to the third member of their triad, there's not a snobbier person at their school than Delia (Bad-delia) Saunders, but they need her help to save the world! And then there are the guys at school, a hot football player crushes on her at the same time as an infuriating, but kind of cute poetry geek. Could one of them be her enemy - a Fomorian?
